Selena Marie Gomez (/s@'li:n@ 'goUmez/ s@-LEE-n@ GOH-mez born on 22 July 1992) is an American actress, singer, and producer. Additionally, she executive produces and stars in the HBO Max cooking series Selena + Chef (2020-2022) and the Hulu comedy series Only Murders in the Building (2021-present). Gomez was praised by critics for the series as well as nominations for an Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award as producer. Gomez, who was previously part of Selena Gomez & the Scene released three albums. The albums all reached the top 10 of the US Billboard 200. The albums were all gold-certified and earned the Recording Industries Association of America's (RIAA). Her first solo album, Stars Dance (2013) it topped the U.S. Billboard 200 topped her debut solo album entitled Stars Dance (2013). The lead single, "Come & Get It" made it to the top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100. Gomez has released Revival (2015) as her second studio album. The album was released at the top spot in the US and was certified platinum. Three top ten US tracks were made out of Revival: "Good for You" and the "Same Old Love" single, and "Hands to Myself". Rare (2020), Gomez's third studio album, was her third consecutive number 1 in the US. The first single, "Lose You, to Love Me", was also her first number-one hit in the US. Revelacion is her EP in Spanish is due out in 2021. The singer was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album. She has been awarded numerous awards and was named Billboard's Woman of the Year in 2017 and also broke fifteen Guinness World Records. Time magazine named her one the 100 most influential persons worldwide in 2020. Gomez is a social media influencer and is the most followed actress and musician on Instagram. Her other ventures include clothing, makeup, handbag and fragrance lines. From the age of 17 she has been a UNICEF ambassador, and also worked in a variety of charitable organizations.
