
From the mid-1990s onwards, the actor enjoyed a successful stint as a regular guest on the sitcom Friends as the love character of Monica Geller and receiving an Emmy nomination for the part. In the new millennium, Selleck starred in a number of TV films that included the Jesse Stone series, in which he played the role of a New England police chief. The role earned Selleck another Emmy nomination and he also served as the producer for the film. Selleck is a police officer who is part a multigenerational family. This role was also featured in Blue Bloods which debuted on CBS in the year 2010. Selleck eventually made it to the big screen. Along with Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg he appeared in Three Men and a Baby that was a massively well-received comedy. It was the highest-grossing film ever.
