Sheryl Underwood is a American comedian, host of a TV show and actress best known for hosting The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. Born in Arkansas She was raised at Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl was raised in a difficult family. Sheryl spent the majority of her life helping her younger sister Frankie with polio. When she was growing up, Sheryl had many problems with her mom. Sheryl claims that in one instance her mother stabbed her father because he was getting too close to her. Sheryl joined the military after her graduation from college. Her passion was comedy. She was the only female who made it to the 1989 competition Miller Lite Comedy Search. She began her TV career in the year 1992 when she became a frequent performer for the HBO comedy show Def Comedy Jam. She was the host of the TV show Oh Drama! in 2000. Then in 2011, she started making appearances for The Talk as co-host. She has also been in fictional roles on shows like Bulworth Nikki and Beauty Shop.
