Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Half English and a quarter Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Her father is an Argentine with Scottish and English descendance. The mother of Taylor-Joy has Spanish and English ancestral roots. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children from her father's prior marriage. The family she grew up with was within Buenos Aires from the time she was just six before they relocated to Victoria, London. Taylor-Joy believes that moving into London was difficult as she wasn't able to master English to avoid moving back to Argentina. She was forced to transfer schools to Northlands and then Hill House. After that, she attended Queen's Gate School to study ballet and to perform in school's productions. After she turned 16, she decided to leave school in order to pursue a full-time career in acting. Since her early years, Taylor-Joy had a dream to become an actress and her goals were realized when she was approached for an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
